April 20th, 2009

UNO Students have the opportunity to study abroad in Norway during the Fall 2009 through Spring 2011 semesters.  During the 2010-2011 academic year, students who choose to study abroad at UiA can receive a $2200 stipend for room, books or related expenses!

2010-11 Norway Study Abroad Brochure

What are the benefits of studying at  UiA for a UNO student?

  1. Direct transfer of coursework for UNO degree credit
  2. If you’re on scholarship at UNO (Regents, Scott, etc), the scholarship still counts
  3. Classes available in Computer Science, MIS, Education, Economics, Business, Languages and Puboic Administration. You don’t have to delay finishing your degree while study abroad!
  4. Classes are taught in English
  5. Kristiansand is one of the southernmost cities in Norway, so it’s not as cold as you think!
  6. Get to meet other international students
  7. When else would you go to Norway?!
  8. Norway is a beautiful country!
  9. While you’re abroad, why not check out Sweden, Germany, or Denmark too!

Want to know more?  Talk to Emily Hard in the International Studies office, Dr. Khazanchi or Dr. Zigurs with IS&T, or meet one of the Norwegian students here at UNO!  You could also talk to alumni from the Norway program too.
